Another award win for Alleviate!

Summary

Alleviate was recognised in the inaugural Dundee Difference Awards, taking home an award for Positive Impact.

Alleviate recently attended the 2023-24 Dundee Difference Awards. This ceremony marks the first edition of an annual prizegiving commissioned by the University of Dundee, recognising outstanding contributions from University staff. After submitting a nomination last year which detailed all of the team’s hard work in 2023, we were delighted to win an award for Positive Impact.

Those members of the Alleviate team based at the University of Dundee were invited to attend an afternoon at the (beautifully decorated) Bonar Hall. We enjoyed an afternoon tea and live music from a three-piece band, before hearing about the achievements of all 22 award winners (ranging from individuals to groups of more than 20 people) and collecting our own award. Some photos of the event are below.

The Dundee-based Alleviate team would like to extend their thanks to the wider team, with a special mention to our public members. Our nomination included multiple references to the collaborative nature of the project, and the award is a reflection of the work put into this project by everyone last year. Hopefully this is just the first of many instances of recognition and interest in Alleviate in 2024.
