Following the success of the UK National Pain Survey 2023, the 2024 survey is launching soon!
The Alleviate Pain Data Hub, in collaboration with Chronic Pain Australia, the Advanced Pain Discovery Platform (APDP) and Pain UK are launching the UK National Pain Survey 2024. The survey will be available from Monday 16th September to Tuesday 15th October, as part of Pain Awareness Month.
Chronic Pain (pain lasting for three months or more) affects 35-51% of the UK adult population and there remains an unmet need of recognition and treatment. Results from this survey will highlight the lived experience and current issues impacting people in the UK with chronic pain. Feedback will inform health service providers, researchers and other stakeholders helping to determine resource needs, and the direction and strategy of pain research.
The 2024 survey has been further revised for the UK, based on feedback received from the UK National Pain Survey 2023.
Pain researchers need those people who live with pain to help shape their work. That’s why Alleviate’s Patient & Public Partners – members of the public who live with chronic pain and are part of the Alleviate project team – play a crucial role in shaping strategies that support pain research priorities. By working together, we can make sure research tackles the real challenges faced by those living with pain and keep research relevant and focused on what matters most.
